Mobile Massage Therapist in Kitsap, Washington
Your pain is no joke and you need focused therapeutic massage.
My name is Pista Szabo and I use advanced deep-tissue techniques to relieve pain.
Keep reading to learn more about my approach, the techniques I use, and my professional experience.
Your muscles move fast but your tendons and fascia move slow. So, I move slow enough to match their pace and relax them painlessly.
Sometimes your shoulder (or leg or low-back) needs an hour of focused work.
Using a glacial speed means no muscle is overworked and there is little post-massage soreness, if any.
Instead of full-body massages, I split sessions in two using two different techniques.
Sore spots and painful knots are made up of both muscle and collegan.
Myofascial release warms up the tough connective tissue that surrounds your muscles.
Then, trigger-point encourages your muscles to relax one layer at a time.
Read more about the techniques I use below.
It's a myth that deep-tissue needs to hurt to be effective.
Pain tells us where careful and detailed work is needed. It's one of the few ways our bodies speak to us.
"Good" pain is great but if you can't breathe though it then it's way too much.
Your feedback is always essential to the process..
Sessions are usually split into two parts:
This technique warms and stretches tense collagen and is done without oil (or pain).
It slowly loosens up the rope-like connective tissue that surrounds and shapes your muscles.
I think it also makes trigger-point more effective.
This gentler approach to trigger-point encourages your muscles to develop new patterns of behavior.
Pressure is applied until a single layer of muscle becomes tense. Then, pressure is released but the hand stays in place.
The advantage of this technique is that it uses your natural relaxation response instead of brute force.
I have had a long career with licenscure in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington.
I am currently remodeling my home and hope to build a massage studio here soon.
For now, I offer expert deep-tissue massage at your home or office.
"I'm finally pain free. For the past 20 years I've suffered from worsening migraines and neck and shoulder pain, so much so that I was hesitant to let anyone work on my neck or back. I tried targeted workouts, PT, and acupuncture with no success. Turns out I just needed the right massage therapist. I highly recommend Pista's therapeutic, trauma informed approach. He is knowledgeable, intentional, and listens to the patient. My highly reactive shoulder pain, which built up from almost two decades of chronic stress, is now gone and my migraines reduced from 2-3 per month to 2-3 per year. I had tried other massage therapists but found them too aggressive. Pista's approach met me where I was at and literally changed my life." - Sondra O.
